Inaura - an independent special school in Somerset

Parent View - Give Ofsted your view on your child's school

Inaura School provides education for children who have additional learning needs such as the acquisition of numeracy and literacy skills. Most have failed to thrive in their previous educational settings; some have developmental disorders such as ASD/Tourettes.

Inaura school was established in 2003, and has grown in size every year since. Currently, over 25 boys and girls aged from 8-18 years attend, all of whom have Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP).

We work with young people from Somerset and surrounding local authorities.

We have over 30 teaching staff working at the school, all of whom are highly experienced in working with young people. Inaura has an individually tailored learning plan for every student at the school that matches their educational and development needs with the most appropriate staff member(s), allowing them to foster mutual trust and respect that enables and supports the best education experience.

The school is located on a number of sites offering different learning environments, from a nature reserve (SSSI) to detatched houses through the southwest region. We have sites in/around Lower Godney, near Wells, with some located in Burrowbridge near Taunton and East Huntspill, near Highbridge.

Children do not come to Inaura school because they can't learn but so that they can.
